Demilune is a wall lamp in which a crescent-shaped folded metal blade supports an artistic glass element. The curve of the metal defines the outline of the design and creates a direct relationship between structure, material and light.

The glass is hand-worked using a traditional double slab-casting process, layering black and clear glass according to the technique known as “sommerso glass”.

The results of this technique are glass elements that always differ from one another. The glass gains depth through the layering of the two components, connecting each piece to the variations inherent in the handcrafted process.

The metal has a brushed gold finish. Its surface follows the crescent shape and contrasts with the greater visual depth of the black and clear glass.

The meeting of the metal and artistic glass makes the lamp a compact composition in which the lighting function remains closely linked to the artistic way the materials are shaped.

Demilune brings together geometric design and the Italian glass tradition on the wall: the metal strip defines the shape, while the sommerso glass creates its material depth.
