Writing desk

Eclipse is a contemporary desk composed of slender volumes and carefully balanced proportions, arranged in a composition in which leather and ebony wood define different surfaces and functions.

Two leather-covered legs with elliptical cross-sections support the structure, introducing a soft geometry at the base of the design. Their oval shape softens the rigidity of the supports and creates continuity with the upper element, which is also covered in leather.

A suspended drawer unit and a shelf in ebony extend to the sides of the legs. Their position creates an asymmetrical structure, leaving visible open space between the different volumes and giving the composition visual lightness.

Ebony brings the depth and natural grain of wood to the desk, while leather introduces a softer, continuous surface. The two materials remain clearly distinguishable, and their harmonious contrast becomes a central element of the design.

The suspended drawer unit enhances the lightness of the structure. Storage is perceived as part of a balance in which solid volumes and open spaces follow the horizontal development of the desk, rather than resting on the floor.

Eclipse transforms materials and proportions into a restrained composition: leather wraps the elliptical forms, while ebony defines the desktop and drawers.

The Eclipse desk interprets the contemporary home office through balance, material and compositional precision, bringing a design language to the workspace that maintains continuity with the wider HESSENTIA collection.
