Harbour is a storage unit in which poplar burl plays the leading role. The wood has a straw-yellow colour, interspersed with irregular light and dark brown rings that create a strong, constantly varying natural pattern.

The variations inherent in burl create a highly recognisable surface. The direction of the fibres, colours and irregularities of the wood are revealed as integral parts of the product’s character.

The minimal lines of the storage unit contrast with this graphic richness. Its restrained geometry allows wood to remain the principal feature, without applied decorative elements.

The structure rests on a tubular metal base. The precise, continuous design of the metal introduces lightness beneath the structure of the piece, contrasting with the irregular pattern of the burl.

Harbour’s surface appears almost like a landscape carved in wood: rings, colour variations and the movement of the grain inevitably make each piece different from the next.

With Harbour, HESSENTIA interprets storage unit through the expressive strength of poplar burl, allowing the nature of the material itself to determine identity, colour and visual rhythm.

HESSENTIA can customize this piece to suit your project needs. Some limitations apply.
