Mikado is a vertical floor lamp that extends from floor to ceiling. A simple, continuous cylindrical metal structure defines a slender presence that spans the height of the ambience.

The design focuses on the relationship between the vertical line, metal and light, without applied decorative elements. The continuity of the cylinder enhances the perception of the lamp as a line drawn in space.

Different points of light open along the surface. Light emerges at specific points, locally interrupting the continuity of the metal while preserving the overall purity of its lines.

The points of light distributed along its vertical length change the perception of the structure when the lamp is switched on. The volume remains minimal, while the light progressively articulates its height.

The floor-to-ceiling configuration allows Mikado to establish a direct relationship with the architecture of the ambience, moving beyond the role of a traditional floor lamp.

Mikado interprets lighting as a vertical element: a continuous metal cylinder punctuated by small points of light, in which decoration and function coincide within a simple design.
