Astro is a circular chandelier whose geometric shape is the distinctive feature. The circle, a symbol of harmony and a shape traditionally associated with the sun, defines a simple, immediately recognisable suspended presence.

The structure consists of two metal sheets between which light spreads. The LED light source remains integrated within the volume, highlighting the continuity of the circular shape.

The metal surface is hand-decorated using a distinctive frosted finish. This changes the character of the metal and creates a texture on which light produces variations, reflections and different intensities.

The frosted finish prevents the surface from appearing completely uniform. Handcraftsmanship introduces an artisanal quality into the precision of the circle, making the metal an active part of the lighting effect.

When Astro is switched on, light emerges between the two sheets, emphasising the perimeter of the composition: the circle appears to become a luminous outline suspended in space.

Astro interprets HESSENTIA’s pendant lighting through geometry, metal and handcraftsmanship, balancing the purity of an archetypal shape with the depth of the surface.
