Cadrega is a sculptural chair made entirely of bronze, created as a tribute to Milan and presented during Milano Design Week 2024. The design reinterprets the archetypal chair through a simple language in which structure, function and material coincide.

The composition is characterised by clear lines and harmonious proportions. Seat, backrest and supports form a continuous, immediately legible system that transforms minimal geometry into a recognisable presence within the space.

Bronze forms the entire structure of the chair, defining its visual weight, surface and character. It is a design material that gives shape to the piece and engages with light, beyond its role as a decorative detail.

The surface has a polychromatic effect created by exposed welding. The joints remain visible, producing colour variations, reflections and tactile contrasts that make each piece one of a kind.

Cadrega is obtained through artistic metal casting, a process that combines the traditional sand-casting technique with contemporary design. Handcraftsmanship shapes the bronze and preserves subtle, controlled irregularities, marks and variations on the surface that reflect the artisanal nature of the process.

The chair can be used in contemporary interiors, galleries, hospitality ambiences and projects in which seating also serves an expressive purpose. It is also available in an outdoor version, intended exclusively for verandas, porticoes, covered terraces and other spaces protected from the weather.

Handmade in Italy, Cadrega brings together bronze, artistic casting and furniture design. The minimal design is contraposed to its complex craftsmanship and the artistic perception of its surface.

If the product is intended for outdoor use, it should be used exclusively in covered outdoor spaces protected from weather agents, such as verandas, porches, and covered terraces.
To preserve the aesthetic, functional, and material qualities of the products over time, weekly routine maintenance is highly recommended.
Furthermore, any food and drink residues, leaves, flowers, pollen, or bird droppings should be removed promptly to prevent prolonged contact with the surfaces from compromising the long-term preservation of the products.
