Eclipse is a modular, configurable bookcase designed to organise and divide large living areas. Its soft shapes and refined aesthetic allow the structure to define the space without introducing overly rigid geometry.

The shelves appear to barely touch the vertical side panels and are supported by a metal element that becomes a visible part of the design. The connection is not hidden but exposed, taking on a decorative role and revealing the interaction between structure and shelves.

The oval section of the shelves is repeated in the vertical shoulders, creating continuity between horizontal and vertical elements. Curves run throughout the composition, softening the presence of a generously proportioned bookcase.

Eclipse is available in ebony, oak or poplar burl. Each wood offers a different interpretation of the surface, from more linear grain patterns to the more irregular configurations characteristic of burl.

In the poplar burl version, the natural pattern of the grain emerges with particular intensity. The minimal structure of the bookcase thus meets a freer, less predictable surface, balancing design precision with material variation.

Eclipse interprets HESSENTIA’s exploration of the contemporary bookcase through modularity, oval shapes and wood craftsmanship, transforming the structure into a broad yet visually soft composition in which solid volumes, open spaces and overlaps create a fluid balance within the ambience.
