Libra is a storage unit composed of a framework of metal rods with a gold finish, with embedded storage compartments and artistic glass shelves. The structure appears light and suspended, like a woven framework that supports material without weighing it down.

The artistic glass is obtained through slab casting by master glassmakers in the Venice area. The process gives the surface depth, transparency and subtle variations, making each element responsive to light and naturally different.

As light passes through the glass, it meets the metal structure, enhancing reflections and overlaps. The shelf is perceived as a luminous material that changes the presence of the storage unit within the ambience, beyond its functional role.

The inspiration comes from trabucchi, wooden structures traditionally used for fishing along the Adriatic coast. Slender constructions extending over the water, balanced through rods, connections and open spaces, are reinterpreted by HESSENTIA through metal and glass.

The memory of the Adriatic landscape thus meets the Venetian glass tradition. Two distinctly Italian references come together in a contemporary piece in which structure, transparency and craftsmanship create a restrained yet evocative presence.

Libra tells the story of Handmade in Italy through materials, heritage and craftsmanship: the gestures of master glassmakers, the legacy of trabucchi, and the precision of contemporary design.

HESSENTIA can customize this piece to suit your project needs. Some limitations apply.
