Origami is a modular bookcase that begins with a fold, a precise gesture inspired by the Japanese art of origami. Metal is shaped and change direction, transforming a rigid material into a visually light composition.

Angular lines create dynamic volumes and a continuous relationship between solid volumes and open spaces. Each change of direction impact on the way light meets the metal, producing shadows, reflections and different depths across the surface.

The structure retains its solidity while appearing slender and light. The folds are not purely decorative but also functional: they organise space for books and objects, making the construction principle the product’s most recognisable feature.

Origami consists of two modules of the same dimensions, designed to create flexible combinations along a wall. Placing them together allows the different geometries to be repeated, alternated and brought into relation, creating larger configurations.

Modularity allows the bookcase to adapt to the space while preserving the rhythm created by the folds. Each module remains distinct, while repetition creates a new composition as a whole.
