Saturn is a contemporary table lamp with minimal geometric design, formed through the relationship between a brushed metal cylindrical body and a thick artistic glass disc. The composition focuses attention on a few elements, allowing material, light and proportion to define the lamp’s character.

The glass disc is made through a slab-casting process using the pulegoso glass technique, developed in the early twentieth century and characterised by several small bubbles within the glass.

These inclusions give the surface visual depth and prevent the glass from appearing completely uniform. The artisanal component of the process introduces subtle variations that make each element one of a kind.

When light passes through the glass, the inner bubbles become more apparent and alter its diffusion. The disc gains a more vibrant presence, in which transparency, thickness and controlled imperfections contribute to the same lighting effect.

The lamp is switched on and its brightness adjusted through a touch system integrated into the metal ring above the disc. The technology thus remains incorporated into the lamp’s geometry, preserving the continuity of its shape.

Saturn interprets HESSENTIA lighting through a dialogue between brushed metal, artistic pulegoso glass and integrated light, transforming a minimal composition into a luminous surface in which glass craftsmanship takes centre stage.
