Shade is a modular chandelier composed of several elements suspended in sequence, designed to create a linear composition above rectangular tables in refined the dining areas.

Each element has a brushed metal structure enclosing two glass panels handcrafted by master glassmakers using a slab-casting technique. Metal and glass thus define an ordered sequence in which the handcrafted material plays the leading role.

While the molten glass is still very hot, glass fragments are applied to the surface. The concentration of fragments gradually decreases towards the top, creating a graduated effect that arises directly from the manufacturing process.

Each panel thus gains its own depth and variations. The regularity of the metal structure meets a surface that retains the trace of handcraftsmanship and gives the glass greater visual richness.

An internal LED light source illuminates each element, highlighting the graduated distribution of the glass gritt. Light passes through the glass, revealing the transition from the more textured areas to those that become progressively more transparent.

Shade interprets HESSENTIA’s contemporary chandelier through modularity, artistic glass and light. The repetition of the five elements creates rhythm, while each detail reveals the craftsmanship of Italian master glassmakers.
