Table lamp

Yale is a contemporary table lamp created through the meeting of geometric rigour, material and movement. The main body consists of a cylinder in marble or natural ash, divided into three parts, alongside a second cylindrical element in metal.

The composition brings different materials together through a minimal geometric design. The textured presence of marble or wood meets the precision of metal, creating a balance between a natural surface and a more rigorous structure.

The metal element contributes to the composition and plays an active role in switching the lamp on. When the two cylinders are perfectly parallel, the lamp remains off; tilting the metal cylinder activates the light through an optical sensor.

This system removes the need for visible switches and integrates the act of switching on directly into the lamp’s shape. Movement, function and geometry are thus brought together in a single design solution.

Yale was conceived as an accessory for the Eclipse desk, but its compact proportions also make it suitable for the bedroom, alongside bedside tables and small storage units. In both settings, it retains a discreet yet highly recognisable presence.

Yale interprets HESSENTIA lighting through material, geometry and interaction: marble or natural ash, metal and an optical sensor make a simple movement an integral part of the design
